The All India Central Excise Inspectors Association (AICEIA) and All India Association of Superintendents of Central Tax (AIASCT), which represent employees in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) department, have voiced their opposition to the introduction of the Pratidin system. This system aims to monitor the real-time work of field officers.

The Pratidin system, a web-based tool, is currently being implemented by the Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax (DGGST). It provides commissioners with the ability to monitor up to 14 critical tasks at the range level, starting from July 31 of this year.

The pilot project for Pratidin is being rolled out in 21 commissionerates across the country. This includes five zones: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Raigad, Thane Rural, Bhiwandi, and Palghar, along with others.
