The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is currently seeking a vendor to provide electronic data storage and web access services for a database containing 200 million scanned pages in relation to the high-profile Sahara case. The data being stored amounts to a total of 70 terabytes.

This case has been ongoing for a significant amount of time, with the Supreme Court ordering the Sahara group in August 2012 to submit all relevant documents and deposit investors’ funds with Sebi for the purpose of refunds. In line with this mandate, Sebi is required to review the submitted documents to determine their authenticity and facilitate the refund process to investors.

To ensure accessibility and convenience, Sebi has been accepting refund applications from investors through various channels such as newspapers and its official website.
